Aesculap Academy offers knee revision surgical skills course with new knee revision products

The Aesculap Academy has added a new surgical skills course dedicated to teaching current concepts in knee revision surgery through a hands-on cadaveric lab atmosphere.

According to a company press release, the course presents two new knee revision systems from Aesculap Implant Systems, the Columbus Revision and EnduRo Revision. The Columbus Revision Knee System is the first designed for use with a computer assisted navigation system, the OrthoPilot TKR. The EnduRo knee is used in cases of severe primary bone defects, collateral ligament insufficiency and in cases where revision surgery is indicated.

“The Aesculap Academy courses provide surgeons with a hands-on experience in a collegial environment that provides a feeling of trust that they can carry over to their first operative case,” William M. Mihalko, MD, PhD, Aesculap Academy course faculty member, stated in the release.
