Thompson Surgical Instruments, Inc. announced a new company division, Thompson MIS. The new division will focus more on the product development and manufacturing of minimally invasive spine surgery, according to a press release.

Thompson Surgical Instruments will combine their 28 years of experience in product development and manufacturing with the ideas of spine surgeon thought-leaders to fuse technique and technology into Thompson MIS. Thompson Surgical Instruments, Inc. will continue to focus on improving surgical exposure through its surgical retraction systems and looks forward to embracing the needs presented by the future of spine surgery through Thompson MIS, according to the release.
