Premia Spine acquires assets of Impliant
Premia Spine Ltd. announced that the company has acquired Impliant Ltd. assets, which include 16 worldwide patents. According to a company press release, Premia plans to commercially launch the TOPS System and its adjunct Versalink Fixation System in the third quarter.
We are excited about the opportunity to provide patients with a clinically proven, superior solution to lumbar fusion, Ron Sacher, chief executive officer of Premia Spine, stated in the release. The TOPS System has demonstrated its immediate and sustained benefit for patients suffering from moderate to severe spinal stenosis.
The TOPS System was developed in 2004 by Impliant Ltd. The company has invested more than $50 million in laboratory testing and clinical work to better use the implant, instrumentation and surgical technique, according to the release. Premia Spine is actively seeking international distributors for its product line.
