Nextremity Solutions LLC has obtained ISO 13485 certification and CE mark certification of the Nextra Hammertoe Correction System.

“The company will now mobilize its resources to train orthopedic surgeons, podiatric surgeons and trauma surgeons in what we believe will be a game-changing product. Nextra is our first product in a series of highly differentiated surgical solutions for one of the fastest-growing sectors in the medical device industry,” Arthur Alfaro, president and chief executive officer of Nextremity Solutions, stated in a company press release.

The global launch of the system will begin in early 2012.
