Lanx forms surgeon advisory board
Lanx Inc. has announced the formation of its Surgeon Advisory Board, chaired by Andrew Cappuccino, MD, of Buffalo Spine Surgery, Lockport, N.Y. According to a company press release, the board — comprised of neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons from around the world — will provide guidance to the company on product commercialization, clinical studies and surgeon training.
“With Dr. Cappuccino as chairman, we are confident the board will help guide the strategic direction of Lanx as we continue to advance minimally invasive spinal solutions,” Dan Gladney, chief executive oficer of Lanx, stated in the release.
Cappuccino, according to the release, was instrumental in developing the Spine Arthroplasty Society’s “Guidelines for Spinal Arthroplasty” and has held roles in spine societies, including the North American Spine Society and the Society of Lateral Access Surgeons, of which he was a founding member.
