Shoulder Options Inc. and Kapstone Medical LLC have announced a partnership to accelerate the development and commercialization of novel technologies for treatment of conditions affecting the shoulder.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Dr. Scott Humphrey and his team at Shoulder Options,” John Kapitan, president and founder of Kapstone Medical, stated in a company press release. “This is a unique opportunity to leverage our strengths in orthopedic product development, regulatory, and quality services for a rapidly growing market.”

C. Scott Humprey, MD, founder of Shoulder Options, stated in the release that prior to the partnership, Kapitan helping Shoulder Options achieve FDA clearance for the Cuff Repair Plate.

“During the time that we worked together, we were impressed with both John and Kapstone Medical. By teaming with him we will accelerate the process of making our treatments accessible to patients,” he stated.
