DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. named Andrew Ekdahl its new president, the company announced. Ekdahl will lead the company’s orthopedic business and serve on the DePuy Franchise Global Management Board of the DePuy Family of Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

Ekdahl’s career with DePuy and Johnson & Johnson spans more than 20 years, where he has worked in areas including orthopedics, trauma, sports medicine, neurosciences and spine. Prior to his appointment as president of DePuy Orthopaedics, he was franchise vice president of DePuy Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has held positions in sales, marketing and distribution in the United States, Canada and abroad.
