Alvin H. Crawford, MD, FACS, has been honored by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with the dedication of the Crawford Spine Center.

Crawford, an Orthopedics Today Editorial Board member, directed the Orthopaedic Division at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for 28 years. The new center combines a dedicated multidisciplinary team of experts collaborating in the area of spinal disorders.

Crawford is a past president of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and was the senior SRS Traveling Fellow to the far-east in 2009. He is considered an authority on minimally invasive approaches to spinal deformities in children and neurofibromatosis.
