Which term do you think best describes a patient’s noted reaction to metal ions or debris generated following the implantation of a metal prosthesis, characterized by symptoms such as pain, inflammation and instability?

OTE200

Perspective

There is much confusion on this topic. In terms of groin pain, all four answers might be possible but are related to each other in some patients.

A consensus on the area is warranted.
