Visual field preserved significantly longer in patients treated with latanoprost
Open-angle glaucoma patients who lowered their intraocular pressure with latanoprost demonstrated more visual field preservation than a placebo group, researchers reported in a study recently published in The Lancet.

DENVER – Patients treated with lifitegrast showed improvement in symptoms but not signs of dry eye, according to a presenter here at the American Academy of Optometry meeting.
Meta-analysis shows latanoprost effective for angle-closure glaucoma
Researchers evaluated the results of 17 studies involving 807 patients and determined that latanoprost as monotherapy effectively reduced intraocular pressure in those with angle-closure glaucoma.
