Continuous-wear contact lenses, designed to be worn for up to a month, showed a comparable risk of ocular complications whether replaced monthly or nightly, and a reduced risk of ocular complications when replaced daily in the morning, according to a recent study.

PHOENIX – Tear film osmolarity was found to be a “robust” and “independent” measure of tear film homeostasis, as well as having no association with dryness and discomfort symptoms in normal subjects, according to a study presented here at Academy 2012.

PHOENIX – Researchers who studied the effects of omega-3s found that supplementation improved comfort with and without contact lens wear.
