A 48-year-old African American man presented to the clinic with complaints of blurry, distorted vision that had been present in the left eye for 6 months. The patient had no pertinent ocular history. His medical history was positive for seasonal allergies, for which he was taking Claritin (loratadine, Bayer) daily.
Contact lens exam reveals white corneal deposits
A 62-year-old Hispanic man presented complaining of progressive deterioration in vision in both eyes with associated photophobia over the last 15 years. He expressed an interest in contact lenses as a form of vision correction because his glasses did not provide him with the required visual acuity necessary for driving a motor vehicle.

A 20-year-old African American woman presented with a chief complaint of a moderately red, watery right eye with mucopurulent debris that started 4 days earlier. The patient denied recent fever, upper respiratory infection or sore throat. She reported being postpartum for approximately 6 weeks at this visit. She had a full-term vaginal birth without complications and was currently breastfeeding.
Woman suddenly loses central vision
A 39-year-old Caucasian woman presented complaining of a dark spot in the central vision of her right eye that began 3 days prior. The dark spot was accompanied by a heavy, pressure-like sensation in the right eye. She had never experienced these symptoms before and had no previous history of trauma. She denied having any flashes or floaters.
Young woman presents with near vision blur

A 26-year-old Caucasian female presented to our clinic for evaluation with one of our colleagues. Her chief complaint at that exam was a recent onset of near vision blur only, which she felt was slightly worse in the right eye for several weeks. She described the blur as being constant with no fluctuations. In addition, she also stated she was not experiencing any headaches or double vision.
