Patients with dry eye disease experienced relief as early as 3 days after using Miebo, according to research presented at TFOS 2024.

“One of the biggest issues we have is keeping patients compliant with their treatment long enough to begin to see a benefit,” Shane R. Kannarr, OD, who practices at Kannarr Eye Care in Pittsburg, Kansas, said in this Healio video perspective.

According to Kannarr, patients with “substantially” reduced tear break-up time who used Miebo (perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution, Bausch + Lomb) for 2 weeks experienced a 40% reduction in their most bothersome complaint by day 3.

“Miebo provides a quick, effective treatment that allows our patients to see early relief and continue to see that relief throughout the course of 2 weeks,” he said.
