Eyenavision and Avulux have launched Chemistrie Avulux, an eyeglass clip-on option for people with migraines and light sensitivity.

“[Eye care providers (ECPs)] can play a key role in caring for patients with migraine and light sensitivity,” Charles Posternack, MD, Avulux’s CEO, said in a company press release. “We are thrilled to partner with Eyenavision to help ECPs expand their scope of practice and support even more patients with the innovative new Chemistrie Avulux clips.”

According to the release, the new product combines Avulux’s migraine and light sensitivity lenses with Eyenavision’s Chemistrie magnetic, clip-on layering system. The lenses have light-filtration properties, which can block up to 97% of the blue, amber and red light waves associated with triggering or worsening migraines, while still allowing calming green light.

“Through the combination of our unique products, eye care providers can now offer a seamless, on-demand solution for patients who suffer from migraine and light sensitivity,” Joe Zewe, Eyenavision’s president and CEO, said in the release.
