Alcon introduces ‘water innovations’ contact lens technology portfolio

ATLANTA — Alcon has adopted a comprehensive approach to enabling eye care professionals to speak in patient-friendly terms about the company’s portfolio of contact lenses, Kristen Brotherson said at SECO 2024.
In this Healio video, Brotherson, general manager of U.S. vision care at Alcon, said, “We’re thrilled to share our new umbrella portfolio approach to our water innovations contact lens technology.”
The Dailies Total1 group is for patients who need “extra care and comfort,” while Precision1 offers a daily disposable lens “at a mainstream price,” she said. The Total30 lens family comprises reusable lenses in spheric, toric and multifocal modalities.
Alcon also has added eye screening and doctor locator capabilities to its Marlo app, which is designed to “keep the patient and their reorders with their ECP,” Brotherson said.
