LAS VEGAS — CooperVision announced at Vision Expo West that it has opened applications for its ninth-annual Best Practices and student scholarship honorees, which celebrates exceptional optometry practices and students across the country.

“The comradery built through the Best Practices initiative has enabled so many unique practices around the nation to collaborate and learn to grow their practices in new and exciting ways,” Michele Andrews, OD, vice president of professional and government affairs for Americas at CooperVision, said in a company press release. “We also provide honorees with an exclusive platform to share their experiences and ideas so that other practices can also benefit from their success.”

To date, 80 eye care practices have been recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the field of optometry. Honorees in 2024 will receive exclusive opportunities to collaborate with other practices and will join this year’s scholarship recipients at the Best Practices Summit, a 2-day educational event.

Practices that fit any brand of contact lenses may apply and are encouraged to share their personal experiences in industry advancement, community impact, patient experience, specialty services and team building, the release stated. Scholarship applicants must be third-year optometry students in good academic standing with exceptional leadership skills, honors and work experience.

All applications must be submitted by Nov. 27, and recipients will be announced early next year.
