WASHINGTON — In this Healio video, William Reindel, OD, shared results from a study presented at Optometry’s Meeting on Bausch + Lomb’s novel kalifilcon A multifocal contact lens for patients with presbyopia
In a prospective, 20-site study of 294 individuals who were habitual multifocal contact lens users, participants wore Infuse One-Day Multifocal contact lenses (Bausch + Lomb) for 3 weeks, at which time lens fit and performance were evaluated by investigators.
“With the results of the vision measurements, feedback from the patients and evaluation of the fit, the investigators’ assessments were excellent for delivering clear vision, overall satisfaction and, most importantly, the lenses were easy to fit,” Reindel, Bausch + Lomb executive director of medical affairs, said. “Investigator ratings were all in the high 90s.”
