Visionix USA has launched its new high-speed, multimodal Optovue Solix FullRange OCT system in North America, the company announced in a press release.

According to the release, the Optovue Solix FullRange OCT features improved scans and “new posterior high density scan patterns that deliver more detail and better precision,” as well as “integrated cameras for fundus, external photography and external IR imaging.”

The multimodal platform also includes Visionix’s proprietary scans and software, including AngioVue, iWellness and AngioWellness, for improved visualization and diagnostic imaging.

“I work with students, and at the end of the rotation, I do a little exit interview with each of them, as I am curious to know their thoughts about the different technologies,” Julie Rodman, OD, MS, FAAO, chief of the Broward Eye Care Institute and professor of optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, said in the release. “The students told me that they were blown away by the Solix. The ability to take a picture, the clarity of the images and the ease of use — the students love it.”

There will be a live demonstration of the Optovue Solix FullRange OCT at Vision Expo East, March 16-19, 2023, in New York, the company stated.
