Avulux and Axon Optics have partnered to expand access to the latest light management lens technology for people with migraines, Avulux announced in a press release.

Avulux lenses are clinically proven to block blue, amber and red light while letting in soothing green light, which has been shown to help people with migraines, the company said. This Avulux technology will now be built into Axon Optics products, replacing Axon’s older FL-41 tint, and will be available to consumers online.

“We know the devastating impact that migraine can have,” Bradley J. Katz, MD, PhD, founder and chief scientist at Axon Optics, said in the release. “As a science‐driven company, it is vital that we offer our customers the latest in precision light management, and that is the innovative technology found in Avulux lenses.”

Avulux president and CEO Charles Posternack, MD, added, “More than 80% of people with migraine are affected by light sensitivity, which either triggers or worsens their attacks. ... With Axon Optics joining the Avulux family, we are able to work together to offer help to people who are living with migraine and light sensitivity.”
