CHICAGO – Bausch + Lomb announced the U.S. launch of Revive, a new family of customizable soft contact lenses, at Optometry’s Meeting.

Marc Botticella, the company’s director of marketing, specialty vision products, told Healio that the lenses are available in sphere, toric, multifocal and multifocal toric designs, ranging from +30 D to -30 D sphere and to -10 D cylinder.

“Revive has a fully customizable base curve, diameter and near add zone,” he said. “Consultants can help fitters design [individual patients’] lenses.”

Revive custom soft lenses are made with a non-ionic material that allows them to be worn daily for up to 3 months, and they are also available for frequent or planned replacement modalities, the company stated in a press release.

“They are usually fit as quarterly,” Botticella said, “but doctors can choose the schedule depending on the patient. It’s usually monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly.”

The Revive lenses are made of hioxifilcon D material, according to the Bausch + Lomb website. Diameters are available between 10 mm and 16 mm, and base curves between 6.5 mm and 9.7 mm in 0.1 mm steps.
