VIDEO: Pilocarpine improves EDOF 1 hour after dosing
DENVER – Pooled phase 3 analyses showed that the use of pilocarpine 1.25% ophthalmic solution increased extended depth of focus 30% the first hour after administration, Chris Lievens, OD, of Southern College of Optometry, said at ARVO.
In the GEMINI 1 and GEMINI 2 studies, researchers measured extended depth of focus (EDOF) at days 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30, “and the EDOF curve on our graph was continuing to increase,” Lievens said.
