Ted McElroy, OD, spoke about how to cultivate a healthy work culture during a MedPro360 presentation, focusing on building trust and making sure each team member has a voice.
“You may have heard a lot of times, ‘I’m going to agree to disagree.’ That’s probably not going to lead you in the best direction,” McElroy said. “It’s important that people have a chance to weigh in, so they’ll have a chance to buy in. Another thing that’s really important, is that once you’ve made this decision, people have to hold each other accountable, to make sure that the behaviors we’ve all agreed on are going to be the behaviors we’re going to exhibit.”
