VIDEO: Comanagement ‘crucial’ to optimize corneal cross-linking
ATLANTA — Corneal cross-linking can stop the progression of keratoconus in the majority of patients, and comanagement is an important part of the process, according to a presenter here at SECO.
It is critical to diagnose patients in the early disease stage, said Jack Parker, MD, PhD, “so they can be preserved in that near-as-normal condition as long as possible, which is why it is crucial that ODs and MDs work together.”
