NEPTUNE, N.J. – ERG was shown to detect retinal ischemia before the presence of retinopathy, unveiling retinal function changes that may not be present on funduscopy, according to Ashley Allee, OD, here at a New Jersey Academy of Optometry continuing education event.
The group sponsored Allee’s presentation of her research, which shows ERG’s utility in treating peripheral diabetic cases, at the American Academy of Optometry meeting.
