LAS VEGAS – Compulink Healthcare Solutions announced the recent acquisition of MyEyeStore here at Vision Expo West.

This integration will enable patients to purchase their contact lenses any time through the practice’s online store without having to enter their data that already exists in the practice’s EHR,

Karen Perry, OD, FAAO , Compulink’s director of professional relations and training, told Primary Care Optometry News, “We can utilize information already entered in Compulink; it’s transferred over to the e-commerce site.

“The patient doesn’t have to go elsewhere to buy contact lenses and re-enter all the data,” she continued. “It’s already there. In addition, rebates are available on annual supplies.”

Compulink manager of marketing and business development, Trevor Wilson, told PCON, “Clients were losing lens sales outside their office, and we wanted to help them recapture them.”

Stephannie Keller, vice president of e-commerce and MyEyeStore division president, added, “It gives the patient peace of mind that they’re purchasing the product directly from the doctor.”

Today, MyEyeStore primarily focuses on contact lens re-ordering, but the potential exists to incorporate any products the clinician wishes, the executives said, such as contact lens solutions and supplements. – by Nancy Hemphill, ELS, FAAO
