NEW YORK – Patients with trigeminal dysphoria, a condition that prevents the two eyes from working together and results in headache, eye strain and dry eye, are finding relief with spectacle lenses from Neurolens, according to co-inventor Jeffrey P. Krall, OD, here at Vision Expo East.

Krall, who, with his colleagues developed a device that would measure trigeminal dysphoria, said a contoured prism in the lenses “changes the relationship of our eyes at distance and near.”

Headache patients in a neurology clinic saw “remarkable” results, he said, with more than 50% with irretractable headaches finding relief.
