VIDEO: Alcon launches new dry eye, MGD treatment system

NEW ORLEANS – The iLUX MGD Treatment System, consisting of the iLUX handheld device and the Smart Tip Patient Interface, are two of the three innovations in Alcon’s new Dry Eye Device portfolio, Adam Szaronos, head of dry eye devices at Alcon, said at SECO. The iLUX system is indicated for the application of localized heat and pressure therapy in adult patients with chronic disease of the eyelids, including meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) or evaporative dry eye.
The company also launched the Dry Eye Excellence Program, a customer-focused resource to support providers with successful adoption and ongoing utilization of these new technologies to help their patients and reach their practice goals, he added.
