NEW YORK – Performing a wellness exam provides baseline information “that helps us make clinical decisions based on a patient’s health status being positive rather than being negative,” Aaron Lech, OD, said here at Vision Expo East.

“When you employ a wellness model and you’re managing a retina or glaucoma case, you’re taking that patient’s own data and forming their norm and then making decisions based on their norm. It’s personalized care at its finest,” he said.
