NEW ORLEANS – The Ophthalmic Innovation Summit, also known as OIS, had its debut in optometry here at the SECO meeting. Co-chair J. James Thimons, OD, said this was optometry’s “first opportunity to participate in what has become in the ophthalmology world one of the great meetings that brings together industry, clinicians, clinical investigators and the newest and greatest technologies available now and to us in the future.”
He said the rapid-fire and informal format allows clinicians to interact with CEOs of leading companies in the ophthalmic space.
