LAS VEGAS – Clark Chang, OD, MSA, MSc, FAAO, of Wills Eye Hospital and TLC Laser Eye Centers, reviewed three surgical options for correcting presbyopia here at Vision Expo West.
The Kamra Inlay (CorneaGen), an intrastromal corneal inlay that is implanted under a LASIK flap, is a good option for those who are “not quite” cataract patients, he said. For patients ready for cataract extraction, he discussed the extended-depth-of-focus Symfony and Symfony toric lenses (Johnson & Johnson Vision) as well as the Light Adjustable Lens (RxSight), which he said is FDA-approved, but not yet available.
