Topcon Medical Systems announced the release of its new app, Topcon Augmented Reality.

With augmented reality (AR) technology, the app works in conjunction with Topcon products and promotional materials to provide targeted information, the company reported in a press release.

Topcon plans for the technology to include ISSOCT Conference, Maestro, Triton and Aladdin applications.

The Topcon AR app offers consumers the ability to record, share and save AR experiences. It also features an AR scanner that allows users to target images and experience AR on their phone.

The Topcon AR app is now available for download from the Apple Store and Google Play.

“The new Topcon AR App is another example of our commitment to remain on the forefront of technology,” Bob Gibson, vice president of marketing for Topcon, said in the release. “It will allow our customers to experience another level of reality, providing additional information and educational content in a unique and innovative way.”
