Aveo announced the launch of Aveo Hello, daily disposable contact lenses available through online subscription.

Aveo Hello biocompatible lenses are designed to hydrate and protect the eyes, the company said in a press release. AquaLock Technology and the BlissEdge design provide long-lasting hydration by utilizing a dual-tapered edge that allows more water and oxygen to surround the lens and keep it in place.

With 58% water content, the omafilcon A material offers all-day comfort for Aveo Hello contact lenses, according to the release. The lenses also provide class II UV protection, blocking an average of 97% UVB and 87% of UVA radiation. Additionally, patients can experience high-definition vision because of the aspheric optic design of the lenses.

Aveo said its lenses are “always made to exact specs” because the lenses are created by robots, giving Aveo full control of the precision process.

The Aveo Hello single vision contact lenses are FDA approved and became available for online subscriptions in spring 2018. Shipping is always free, and through a monthly plan, the lenses only cost $1 a day.

A company spokesperson told Primary Care Optometry News that a toric design will be available at the end of the year.
