Executives from MacuHealth and MedOp Health resolved their lawsuit with “a mutual and satisfactory agreement,” according to a press release from MacuHealth.

One year ago, MacuHealth and its CEO, Frederic Jouhet, filed a lawsuit against MedOp Health, the manufacturer of MaxiVision Meso Plus Formula, citing false advertising and faulty manufacturing in relation to that product.

According to the recent press release, Jouhet and MedOp President Reiner Rittinghausen met during Vision Expo East, and, as a result, MedOp said it recognizes that “the MacuHealth formula is different as to both its science and its composition. Based on this uniqueness, MedOp should not have compared its formula to MacuHealth's formula in their marketing materials and will stop doing so going forward.”

In the release, MedOp and MacuHealth said future collaborations between the two groups are, “greatly possible.”
