ATLANTA – A multicenter study of 55 patients showed that a single vectored thermal pulsation treatment with Lipiflow (TearScience) improved meibomian gland secretion scores and symptoms in contact lens wearers who were previously experiencing discomfort, Leslie O’Dell, OD, said here at SECO. The treatment also improved contact lens wearing time by 4 hours.

“Translate this information to your patients and recommend Lipiflow when there’s contact lens intolerance and meibomian gland dysfunction present,” she said.
