CHICAGO – Leslie O’Dell, OD, urges clinicians to evaluate patients’ meibomian glands, because their dysfunction causes symptoms in 86% of dry eye patients.

“You don’t know what you don’t know,” she said. “If you don’t look you won’t know how those glands are functioning.”
