GSRx launches e-commerce site for independent practices
GSRx announced the launch of a new e-commerce site aimed at independent practices for them capture more optical sales.
The site, ProperOptics.com, allows eye care practices to sell to patients after they leave the office and to other online shoppers, while making a profit similar to in-office sales, according to a press release from GSRx.
“GSRx believes that optical patients are best served when they purchase eye wear from an independent practice,” Dave Jochims, GSRx’s founder and CEO, said in the release. “However, it’s undeniable that over 30% of independent practice patients are buying their eye wear somewhere else, often from an online retailer. As a supplier dedicated to supporting independents, we have created an online option where the practice retains control over the quality of the product and captures the profits.”
ProperOptics.com offers 280 frame styles and a variety of lenses, coatings and treatments at comparable prices. Eye wear can be delivered to a patient’s home or to the practice. Patients can also visit the practice to have the eye wear properly fitted and adjusted.
