SECO 2019 to move to New Orleans

SECO International announced that its annual conference will be moving to New Orleans in 2019 before returning to Atlanta in 2020, according to a press release.

This marks the first time the event has been held outside Atlanta since 1957.

“We’re excited to bring SECO to a new city and believe the move will energize the conference on all fronts, giving us the creative luxury to reimagine the event strategy to ensure the show is meeting the business and education objectives of our industry,” Lynn Hammonds, OD, president of SECO International, said in the release. “New Orleans has a recently remolded, world-class convention center located right on the Mississippi River that will be a terrific host location for SECO 2019.”

The organization hopes the change in location will open new opportunities to attendees and exhibitors.

SECO 2019 will take place Feb. 20 to 24 at the New Orleans Ernest Morial Convention Center.
