Quinn elected president, trustees sworn in at Optometry’s Meeting

Christopher J. Quinn, OD, of New Jersey, a Primary Care Optometry News Editorial Board member, was elected president of the American Optometric Association during the 120th Annual AOA Congress at Optometry’s Meeting.
Samuel D. Pierce, OD, of Alabama, was named AOA president-elect; Barbara L. Horn, OD, of South Carolina and Michigan, was elected vice president; and William T. Reynolds, OD, of Kentucky, was elected secretary-treasurer.
Ronald L. Benner , OD, of Montana, and Jacqueline Bowen, OD, of Colorado, were re-elected as AOA trustees, and Fred Farias III, OD, of Texas, is a newly elected trustee.
Trustees continuing their terms are: Robert C. Layman, OD, of Ohio; James P. DeVleming, OD, of Washington, and Steven T. Reed, OD, of Mississippi.
With Quinn assuming the presidency, former AOA President Andrea P. Thau, OD, of New York, moves into the position of immediate past president.
