VIDEO: Panel participant shares China’s approach to myopia control
WASHINGTON – Thomas Aller, OD, who participated in a joint U.S.-China panel on myopia control here at Optometry’s Meeting, said that the preferred method for myopia control in mainland China is orthokeratology.
Atropine is not used, nor are soft multifocals, “my favorite lens,” Aller said, “because it’s not approved for children.”
