Blue light – high energy visible light emitted from digital devices – can be responsible for a number of health problems including digital eye strain, sleep problems, blurred vision, headaches, and neck and shoulder pain.

March month is Save Your Vision Month, and the American Optometric Association has put together a brief list of tips to help protect the eyes.

The AOA suggests turning off devices an hour before bed, taking a 20-second break to look away from digital screens every 20 minutes to view something 20 feet away, using a device’s zoom feature rather than holding it close to your face, adjusting a device’s glare and paying a visit to the optometrist.
