CooperVision launches Avaira Vitality toric

CooperVision announced the beginning of its limited rollout of Avaira Vitality toric, which is the latest addition to the Avaira Vitality family.

The lens is made from a new silicone hydrogel material (fanfilcon A) and delivers high water content (55%) and a high level of oxygen permeability and transmissibility for a healthy wearing experience, according to a press release from the company.

Avaira Vitality toric UV protection has been upgraded to Class 1 so that more than 90% of UVA and 99% of UVB rays are blocked. Additionally, the lens maintains CooperVision’s Optimized Toric Lens Geometry, uniform horizontal ISO thickness and a large toric optic zone.

“Avaira Vitality toric offers eye care professionals and their astigmatic patients a 2-week option that delivers everything they know and love about Avaira toric, but with all the benefits of the latest advancements in silicone hydrogel,” Michele Andrews, OD, senior director of professional and academic affairs, North America, CooperVision, said in the release.
