Argus, PogoTec offer sunglasses with attachable camera
Taiwan-based Argus Vision announced a partnership with PogoTec to manufacture a line of sun wear equipped with the PogoTrack wearable device platform, according to a press release.
Eye wear with PogoTrack is designed to serve as a universal platform for a range of future electronic wearable devices.
The PogoCam was unveiled at the recent Consumer Electronics Show. Other wearables for the platform may include an alertness monitor to prevent drivers from falling asleep and a UV meter to prevent sunburn by alerting users when exposed to damaging rays, according to the release.
Argus Vision specializes in lightweight, sophisticated wrap design frames and impact-resistant lenses with vacuum-deposited coatings that block ultraviolet light.
The Argus Vision sunglasses line is designed to be rugged, lightweight and comfortable and will be available in a variety of colors, according to the company. The PogoCam can be easily attached to the track on the frames and can be slid back when not in use or removed.
