SynergEyes Inc. is now offering the polymer coating, Tangible Hydra-PEG, on its Duette and Duette Progressive lenses, according to a press release.

SynergEyes said in the release that it received FDA clearance for Tangible Hydra-PEG in August.

"Tangible Hydra-PEG is designed to solve the problem of contact lens discomfort by increasing wettability, surface water retention, tear break-up time, lubricity and deposition resistance,” Vic McCray, MD, Tangible Science president and CEO said in the release. “The positive experiences of those already wearing Duette with Tangible Hydra-PEG demonstrate the value of the coating."

SynergEyes manufactures and markets hybrid contact lenses including the Duette family of contact lenses for astigmatism with Duette and Duette Progressive. SynergEyes specializes in contact lenses for irregular corneas as well, according to the release.
