ANAHEIM, Calif. – “We have a big job to figure out what the risks are with cosmetics and start the communication with our patients to better educate them and better understand what these products are doing to the ocular surface,” Leslie O’Dell, OD, said.
An online survey she and her colleagues performed showed the majority of the female consumer respondents had never been asked about their use of cosmetics or make-up removers by their eye care providers.
