ANAHEIM, Calif. – Experts on a corneal crosslinking (CXL) panel spoke about the need for early screening, diagnosis and intervention of keratoconus, here at the American Academy of Optometry annual meeting. The panelists included John Gelles, OD; Shanda Ross, OD; Andrew Morgenstern, OD, FAAO; Casey Claypool, OD; and Clark Chang, OD, MS, FAAO.

Chang emphasized taking a customized, personalized approach to treatment. The experts agreed that patients must be educated on the new technology.
