Independent Doctors of Optometric Care announced that Investors Management Corp., a Raleigh, N.C., private investment firm, has acquired IDOC from the Riverside Company.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, according to the IDOC press release.

“IMC offers an ownership platform that supports the long-term vision of IDOC to provide independent optometrists extensive partner vendor programs, practice consulting, continuing education and networking opportunities to help our members achieve greater success in private practice,” Dave Brown, IDOC president and CEO, said in the release.

Brown and the senior management team of Neil Gailmard, OD, chief optometric officer and Oliver Spandow, chief financial officer, will continue to lead IDOC.
