LAS VEGAS – Costa announced here at Vision Expo West that its prescription dealers can now offer Costa Optical frames.

The line will have limited availability until its full launch in January 2017, the company said in a press release.

“We are targeting existing top customers between now and the end of the year with the optical line, then a full rollout will start in January,” Costa CEO Holly Rush said during a press conference here.

Company representative Liza Jones told Primary Care Optometry News that Costa will “stay true to its angling roots,” but “optical will be a priority going forward.”

The company’s first optical collection will be available in lightweight titanium, bio-based nylon with trifused colors and hand-crafted acetate, at a variety of price points, according to the release. – by Nancy Hemphill, ELS
