LAS VEGAS – Optometrists will have a role in the advent of wearable headsets for both entertainment purposes and low vision therapy, Jerome Legerton, OD, MBA, said here at Vision Expo West. New users may seek your help for visual function issues or “cybersickness,” he said. "Look back to your roots in terms of binocular vision and visual performance and try to find the nexus between that individual’s refractive error issues and symptomatology and connect it to their binocular vision and accommodative convergence mechanism,” Legerton said. The technology also provides an opportunity to help the growing number of low vision patients, he said.
