Vision Expo, eye care industry raise awareness of vision health

LAS VEGAS – Eye wear professionals and eye care providers attending Vision Expo West will unite to raise awareness of the importance of vision health.
Proceeds from Vision Expo are used by the Vision Council, a nonprofit association, to educate consumers about the importance of vision care and the options in eye wear and other related products, according to a press release from the council.
With these resources, the Vision Council has generated more than 1.7 billion consumer impressions for lens trends and technology topics including digital eye strain, more than 2.3 billion consumer impressions for UV protection and more than 9.3 billion consumer impressions for eye wear fashion through the Eyecessorize campaign.
Also, the International Vision Expo & Conference supports Think About Your Eyes, a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public on the benefits of vision health and promote the importance of getting an annual comprehensive eye exam.
