NEW YORK – Diagnostic testing with the Compass perimeter from CenterVue provides “a new method for performing a test we’ve been doing for many years,” Murray Fingeret, OD, told Primary Care Optometry News here at Vision Expo East.

With the Compass, Fingeret explained that a confocal scanning laser images the back of the eye, and a visual field test pattern is also performed. “The color picture is presented with the visual field, and you can see how the visual field loss is overlaid onto the back of the eye,” he said.
